Add-On Folder Structure

In each Add-On Product folder, you can store your assets in whichever structure best meets your needs. However, you must ensure folder names do not contain spaces or special characters. In the following example, we have used the following:

Audio
Environment
Particles
RailNetwork
RailVehicles
RouteMarkers
Scenery
Stations
System
TemplateRoutes
TimeOfDay
Weather

If you use the same folder names as we have at this level you will get icons in the blueprint editor (see below). If you use other names you will not get these icons.

These folders can then be subdivided to organise your source files. For example, in the Scenery folder we have further subdivided our assets into the following:

/Scenery
Animated
Billboards
Buildings
Characters
Clocks
Clutter
Procedural
Structures
Vegetation
Vehicles
Wildlife

Once you have set up your structure, you will find that your folders appear automatically in the Blueprint Editor:
